Course Summary

Welcome to Hope Street Academy! All students in attendance will benefit from a customized class schedule provided during a school day from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Thursday. Classes meet from 8:00 am to 3:00 PM on Fridays. Our staff is committed to assisting students along their pathway to a USD 501 diploma.

Hope Street Academy offers a variety of courses for students interested in virtually any field. Employment and internship opportunities exist for students wishing to maximize their educational experience. Courses are offered in both semester and year-long formats, during normal or extended day hours. Customized schedules and pathways make enrolling in classes a personalized decision, allowing the student to choose which direction his/her education will take. HSA does conform to the USD 501 graduation requirements for high school students.

To assist students with children, the Parent-Child Learning Center makes it possible for parenting students to continue or complete their education by providing care while they attend school. It also serves as a setting for child development lab classes. The PCLC is designed with the safety and well-being of each child in mind. Developmental activities in the areas of social, emotional, cognitive, language, and motor skills are planned and carried out by staff members and child development students. Children will spend time outdoors each day, weather permitting.

In order to enroll at HSA, each student must complete an enrollment application process. This includes general student information, completion of a Learning Styles Survey, copies of home high school transcripts, and staff interviews.
